Chatham Township Fire Department Has The Power

New generator will keep first responders operating when electricity goes down.

CHATHAM, NJ - Christmas came early for the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department as they took delivery of a brand new generator last Tuesday.

The new generator replaced the current generator, which is 25 years old and original from when the headquarters was built in the early 1990’s. According to officials, this new generator will allow seamless operations if and when the area loses power.

With winter fast approaching, the department made a priority to get this into place before any major storms hit.
