Chatham Township Goes Organic For Weed Treatment
The change will impact all township fields and green spaces, officials said.
CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham Township has made a change to how grounds are maintained, going fully organic as of Friday.
According to officials, fields and green spaces will be be treated organically for weed management, seeding, fertilization and maintenance. The Township Committee said the original intent was to do a one time application rescue before returning to organic care.
However, based on a further review of the contracts and services, the decision was made to stay with organic care for the remainder of 2019 and into 2020, officials said.
