Chatham Twp. PD Earns Elite Accreditation Ranking
Squad meets 105 standards to receive certificate.
The nearly 20-member Chatham Township Police Department is tasked with keeping the 10,000 residents of their municipality safe.
The officers have done such a great job and conducted their department so well, that on July 16, the squad received accreditation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.
To receive accreditation, a department must meet 105 standards. According to tapinto.net, more than 470 police departments applied for the certificate, and only 140 earned it, Chatham Township being one.
