CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham Borough Police Department are reminding motorists not to park in the fire zone at the train station, or a ticket is soon to follow.
Drivers are reminded not to park, and remain parked, in the Fire Zones located at the Chatham Borough Train Station because it is in violation of Borough Ordinance 148-4.
The Police Department has been conducting a warning campaign advising parked vehicles not to remain parked while waiting for their passengers to board scheduled trains. The warning campaign will be followed by enforcement action and vehicles who remain parked in the Fire Zones will be issued summonses, police said.
