Community Paper Shred, October 29th

Declutter your life at the Paper Shred. Proceeds to benefit Senior Services of the Chathams. Documents. Newspapers. Tax Records.

De-clutter and dispose of your unwanted paper and documents safely and securely at a fall Community Shred fundraiser to be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Lafayette School parking lot, 221 Lafayette Avenue, Chatham Township. All proceeds will benefit Senior Services of the Chathams. The service is open to the public and participants need not be Chatham residents.

“The shred service is an eco-friendly way to purge personal documents in a confidential way. Privacy and identity theft are growing concerns in the modern age, and most identity theft is obtained through hard copy sources. Paper shredding and document destruction can help reduce that risk by disposing of confidential information.” says Pam Mansfield, Executive Director of Senior Services of the Chathams.

Residents from Chatham and other surrounding towns are invited to participate, with a suggested donation of $10 per small/medium cardboard box and $5 per brown paper grocery bag. Paper clips and staples do not need to be removed. Newspapers, magazines and paperback books will be accepted in addition to paper documents. Please call the Center at 973.635.4565 if you are unable to make it to the shred. Volunteers will pickup your paper.
