Cops: Man Struck Car While Using Cell Phone

Summons was issued by Chatham Borough Police.

 

issued a summons to a Clinton man who allegedly used his cell phone while driving.

On Tuesday, May 29 at 4:34 p.m., Sgt. Richard Jaremba investigated a motor vehicle crash on Chatham Street, according to police.

Jaremba's investigation revealed that a 2006 Mazda driven by Mitchell Tangy, 36, of Clinton struck a parked car, police said.

Tangy apparently drifted onto the right side of the road while he was putting down his cell phone, according to police.

No one was injured and Tangy was issued a summons for using his cellular phone while driving.
