COVID-19 Stats Stabilized In NJ Psych Facilities

NEW JERSEY - Universal COVID-19 testing has been completed in all New Jersey psychiatric facilities and the numbers of COVID-19 positives have stabilized according to Department of Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli.

Speaking in Thursday's COVID-19 briefing, Persichilli noted that the cases in vet homes and psych facilities have remained flat. This news comes after weeks of slowly rising numbers and 13 deaths.

Five of those deaths were at the Greystone Psychiatric Hospital.

Across the state, there are 1,236 patients split among several facilities and 211 patients tested positive, an increase of two from last week. In New Jersey there are 490 staff members COVID-19 positive as of Wednesday.

Ancora Psychiatric Center also has the highest number of patient outbreaks with 89 while Trenton Psychiatric Hospital has the highest number of staff positives at 241.

  • Total Positive Staff: 117
  • Total Patient Deaths: 5
  • Current Patient Census: 343

Ancora Psychiatric Center

  • Total Positive Patients: 89
  • Total Positive Staff: 101
  • Total Patient Deaths: 4
  • Current Patient Census: 369

Ann Klein Forensic Center

  • Total Positive Patients: 17
  • Total Positive Staff: 31
  • Total Patient Deaths: 0
  • Current Patient Census: 179

Trenton Psychiatric Hospital

  • Total Positive Patients: 47
  • Total Positive Staff: 241
  • Total Patient Deaths: 4
  • Current Patient Census: 354
