This first-ever community concert brings together the talented choirs of local churches, including: the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township (PCCT), the Chatham United Methodist Church, Calvary Presbyterian Church (Florham Park), Church of the Redeemer (Episcopal - Morristown), and the Korean Men's and Women's Choruses of the Drew Theological School.
These 100 singers will be joined by the Lyrica Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Adam Waite, Casey Proch and Ed Alstrum.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and kids 10 and up. Kids younger than 10 are free (however, ticket is still required). Tickets can be purchased by calling the PCCT office, or by visiting the box office, beginning an hour before show time.
Other interesting facts -
- PCCTs 7th annual Christmas Concert, but it's 1st ever making it a truly community event, by collaborating with all of these other choirs!
- Michael Callahan, Eastman School of Music graduate and Children's Music Director at PCCT, will sing the baritone solo in a performance of Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols.
- Other pieces to be performed include: Robert Shaw's The Many Moods of Christmas as well as favorite carol arrangements from composers Holst, Rutter, and Wilberg.
