Jorma Kaukonen and Barry Mitterhoff at The Sanctuary

Jorma Kaukonen's passion for fingerstyle guitar and American Roots music has taken him on a dizzying musical ride, from the legendary band, The Jefferson Airplane to his current band Hot Tuna, a Grammy nomination, election to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and to the Fur Peace Ranch Guitar Camp that he and his wife operate in picturesque Southeastern Ohio.

These days, Jorma doesn't go anywhere without master mandolinist and guitarist Barry Mitterhoff, of Scotch Plains. Barry's fascination with Americana music began at Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, and took him to the seminal progressive bluegrass bands Skyline and Silk City. Barry now tours with Hot Tuna and accompanies Jorma on solo dates.
