The 2011-2012 season will debut with the 25th Anniversary Homecoming Gala on October 2, 2011 at 3pm. This concert will feature Lyrica’s original founders, the mother/daughter piano/violin duo Mariel and Laura Bossert as guest artists, current directors Adam Waite and David Kaplan, and guest cellist Nick Canellakis, one of classical music’s veritable rising stars and a member of the prestigious Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The five award winning musicians will collaborate in a varied program that includes the Debussy Violin Sonata, the Shostakovich Cello Sonata, the Mendelssohn Piano Trio in d minor, and a series of Bach Chorales transcribed by Kurtag for two or three pianists.
