Smithsonian Institution Art Historian and Lecturer Presents DVD Lectures Entitled The World's Greatest Paintings at Chatham Senior Center
This series of DVD lectures is part of the Teaching Company's Great Courses and features lecturer William Kloss, an art historian and lecturer for the Smithsonian Institution. He discusses paintings from the 14th-2oth centuries touching upon motives than inspired the works, how to appreciate a painting as well as looking at technical elements such as light, color, style and more. More than 60 masterpieces will be covered.
This free series is presented by the Municipal Alliance Committee of Chatham and features refreshments. No advance signup is necessary.
