False Identity Fools Officer: Chatham Police
Chandra Chacon gave officers a name they found out later was false.

CHATHAM, NJ - Vauxhall resident Chandra Chacon, 36, was able to temporarily fool officials with an alias after a traffic stop on Oct. 25, Chatham Borough Police said.
Sergeant Jayson Cittrich conducted a random license plate check on the vehicle driven by Chacon and discovered that the registration was expired, police said.
Cittrich initiated a motor vehicle stop and spoke with driver, police said. She told the Cittrich that she did not have any identification and then provided the officer information as to her identity which was later determined to be false.
A complaint summons was prepared and mailed to Ms. Chacon’s last known address. Chacon was charged with giving false information to a law enforcement officer to hinder prosecution, police said.
