Fire In Chatham Home Caused By Space Heater
The dog was the only family member home, and thankfully is just fine.

CHATHAM, NJ— A fire that damaged the second floor of a Chatham Borough home was caused by a space heater, police said in a release.
The Chatham Street fire came from the second floor walk-in closet, which had a space heater. Police weren't sure if the heater malfunctioned, was left too close to combustibles, or if clothing fell on it.
A neighbor called around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday to report smoke coming out of the house next door. None of the residents were home, but the family dog was.
