Florham Park Bicyclist Hit By Car In Chatham: Police

The bicyclist was taken to Morristown Medical Center and later released.

CHATHAM, NJ — A bicyclist was hit by a car in Chatham Borough Saturday morning, police said.

Police say Michael Farrell, 47, from Florham Park, was riding his bike near the intersection of Fairmount Ave and Red Road when he was hit by a car around 9:18 a.m. The driver, Pauline Ochieng, 37, from Basking Ridge, was turning into a driveway when she hit Farrell, police said.

Farrell was taken to Morristown Medical Center and released later that day. Ochieng was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and for failure to yield to pedestrians or vehicles while entering or leaving highway.
