Get to Know Chatham's Volunteer Firefighters at Open House Sunday
Residents are invited to attend "Fire Prevention Week Open House" from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.

CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham residents are invited to a fun-filled day of learning, grilling and socializing at the Green Village Volunteer Fire Department's "Fire Prevention Week Open House" from 1-3 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 9.
Volunteer firefighters will be on sight ready to get to know Chatham residents and answer any questions they may have over hotdogs, hamburgers, and soft drinks.
Firefighters will also provide fire prevention literature, show off their firefighting equipment, and give tours of the firehouse. Children will receive fire hats and even get the change to use a fire hose.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers. Residents can also dispose old fire extinguishers at the firehouse.
