Heart Attack Death, Car Crash And More: Morris County Park Police Blotter

The man was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said.

CHATHAM, NJ — A local man was pronounced dead after suffering a heart attack at a Mount Arlington Marina, Morris County Park Police said.

A 78-year-old man suffered a heart attack at Lee's County Marina in Mount Arlington on July 8, police said. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not release his name.

-7/8: ARREST FOR SHOPLIFTING: Officers were dispatched to the Mennen Sports Arena in Morris Township on a report of items stolen at the Garden State Comic Fest. An investigation led to Jesse R. Parrino, age 32, of Woodbridge, to be charged with Shoplifting. He was released with a court date pending.

-7/8: MOTOR-VEHICLE CRASH: Officers were dispatched to the Mennen Sports Arena in Morris Township on a report of a two-vehicle motor-vehicle crash. No injuries reported.

-7/8: MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Officers were dispatched to the Mennen Sports Arena in Morris Township on a report of a three-year-old male who fell and injured his chin.

-7/10: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers observed a local ordinance violation in Hedden County Park in Randolph. An investigation revealed Susan F. Napoli, age 56, of Rockaway, to have a warrant for failure to appear in Orange Municipal Court. She was released with a new court date pending.

-7/10: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Butler. An investigation led to Lawrence G. Carr, age 47, of Newburgh, N.Y., to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released with a court date pending.

-7/10: MOTOR-VEHICLE CRASH: Officers were dispatched to Lewis Morris County Park in Morris Township on a report of a two-vehicle motor-vehicle crash. No injuries reported.
