Woman Charged With Homicide For Chatham Crash Twp. Crash That Killed Father Of 4

A Madison woman was charged in connection with the March 28 collision that killed a Chatham Township man, according to prosecutors.

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — A woman was charged with vehicular homicide Thursday for her role in a fatal Chatham Township crash, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. The three-vehicle collision on March 28 killed Michael Pacchia Jr., a 52-year-old township resident, authorities said.

Yulia Raynova, 45, of Madison, was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide, along with several motor-vehicle offenses.

Pacchia was a father of four, according to his obituary. He had deep ties to the local lacrosse scene, according to the Daily Record.

The crash occurred at about 11:30 a.m. March 28 at Shunpike Road and Lafayette Avenue. Raynova was driving west when her Nissan Rogue struck a Jeep Wrangler traveling south, according to the prosecutor's office. The Jeep then hit a box truck parked on the opposite side of the intersection, authorities said.
