Jersey Central Aerial Inspections Coming to Chatham Next Week
Helicopter will be floating in the area for two to three days.

Don’t be shocked if there’s a slow moving helicopter hovering about Chatham next week.
Jersey Central Power & Light will begin aerial inspections of its transmission lines in the area beginning Aug. 17, and are expected to last between two and three days.
The helicopter will be flying slowly – approximately 20 to 30 miles per hour – along the lines and may hover at times while trying to get closer observations.
