Junior League of Summit Celebrates Huge Success of Trivia Night Fundraiser
The Junior League of Summit hosted its first trivia night fundraiser Saturday, February 27th at Chatham Fish & Game, with great success.
The highly anticipated event was a win on all accounts. The 150 competition participants hailed from all around our locality, including Summit, Chatham, Madison, Berkeley Heights, New Providence and Short Hills, all of whom relished a wonderful, fun evening out. More importantly, the event raised over $8,100 for the Junior League of Summit, directly funding the League’s community grants, scholarships and other projects.
Junior League of Summit Fund Development Co-Chair Cheryl Whitney (Chatham) noted the fact that the trivia competition included participants beyond just League members, “We are thrilled that so many members of the public came out to support the Junior League of Summit. The teams were fantastic, with creative costumes and great enthusiasm, in addition to their vast trivia knowledge.”
The trivia competition was emceed by Adam Zucker, host of CBS Sports’ College Football Today, and featured lively competition in various categories. The questions ranged from highly challenging historical fact questions to pop music questions to an interactive physical challenge that required competitors to guess mystery flavors of gum. The pinnacle of the intense competition was the tie for the high score at the end of over 10 rounds of competition.
