the Junior League of Summit Trivia Night, Wednesday, Feb. 17

Tables are Limited!

Question: What is the best way to have a great evening with your friends while giving back to the local community?

Answer: Registering your team for the Junior League of Summit’s First Annual Trivia Night!

Following the huge success of, and modeling itself after, the Chatham Education Foundation’s fall trivia night, the Junior League of Summit will be hosting its own trivia competition Saturday, February 27th at Chatham Fish & Game. This is certain to be one of the hottest tickets in town. The festivities will include lively competition among the teams in various trivia categories, as well as interactive bonus rounds and extra points for best team themes and table décor.

The League wishes to specifically express its great appreciation for the support of Lois Schneider Realtor, the Trivia Night’s platinum sponsor, and a market leader in real estate in the Summit area. Lois Schneider Realtor provides its premier services within the towns of Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Chatham, Madison, Harding, Maplewood and Millburn/Short Hills.

All proceeds of the evening will benefit the Junior League of Summit, Inc., its projects, community grants and scholarships. Junior League of Summit is a nonprofit, charitable and educational organization of 350 women from the greater Summit community who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving their communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

League members research and identify needs within the greater Summit area, develop and execute projects to address those needs, and then eventually turn those projects over to other local nonprofit organizations to sustain them. Notable projects started by the League include: the Summit First Aid Squad; the Summit Speech School; two safe houses in Summit for battered women; the Mabie playground in downtown Summit; Senior Connections (AKA Big Wheels), a senior transportation system; and a rain garden at the Jefferson Primary School, where children learn about healthy eating and gardening.
