Madison Area YMCA Rosettes Take First Place at State Championships

The Madison Area YMCA’s Rosettes gymnastics team took first place for the second year in a row in the NJ YMCA Gymnastics League State Championships held on Sunday, May 15, at the Madison Area YMCA. The team placed first in Levels 6, 7 and 8.

The team is headed to the YMCA National Gymnastics Championships to be held June 28- July 3 in Long Beach, California. The Madison Area YMCA will be represented in the competition by 66 gymnasts, the largest team that the Madison Area YMCA has ever sent to the national competition.

The Gymnastics Department practices team unity, determination and highly regards the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Interested in Gymnastics at the Y? Four-day summer Preschool minicamp for 3 to 6 year olds; School Age minicamp for 6 to 9 year-olds; Double Digits minicamp for ages 10-15 years old, runs each week Monday through Thursday. Two-day summer Preschool minicamp for 3 to 6 year olds; School Age minicamp for 6 to 9 year-olds; Double Digits minicamp for ages 10-15 years old, run each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Spots are available for both age groups from now through the week of August 15th . Sessions are 10:30-12:30 p.m.
