Madison Area YMCA Kicks Off Staff Appeal for the Y’s 2017 Annual Campaign

Staff members take selfies with the Annual Campaign's mascot, a yak

The Madison Area YMCA kicked off its Staff Appeal for the Y’s 2017 Annual Campaign with staff members making contributions, donning purple and white Staff Appeal baseball jerseys and taking selfies with the campaign’s mascot, a yak. In the photo: (L-R) Daisy Williams, Beatriz Lopez and Fran Roman have fun with the yak.

The Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Campaign raises awareness and funds for Y financial assistance that enables hundreds of children and families to participate in Y membership, programs and services including child care, early childhood education, and summer camps at the Madison Area YMCA and F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA. The campaign is one of the ways that allows the Madison Area Y, a 501c3 charity, to provide assistance to anyone who resides or works within its local service area. Support is provided based on demonstrated need, with the goal that no one be turned away from membership regardless of income or background.
