Madison Chatham Coalition, Local Businesses, & Law Enforcement Team Up for Sticker Shock Campaign
The Coalition's first Sticker Shock Campaign of 2026.
Madison Chatham Coalition (MCC) members, officers from the Chatham Township and Chatham Borough Police Departments, and community volunteers participated in the Coalition’s first Sticker Shock campaign of 2026 on June 8 and June 10.
Hickory Wine Cellar and BuyRite Liquors in Chatham Township, along with Cottage Wine & Deli and Bottle King in Chatham Borough, welcomed MCC staff and volunteers into their businesses to help educate adults about the consequences of providing alcohol to minors. During the campaign, law enforcement officers and volunteers placed several hundred bright “21 Means 21” stickers on cases of beer and hard seltzer.
The goal of the Sticker Shock campaign is to remind adults that providing alcohol to individuals under the age of 21 is illegal and can have serious consequences. The campaign also encourages adults to support teens in making healthy choices and remaining free from alcohol and other drugs.

“The work of the Madison Chatham Coalition, including initiatives like Sticker Shock, would not be possible without the support of so many sectors of our community, especially local law enforcement and businesses,” said MCC Director Allison Bardon. “We are deeply grateful for their partnership and ongoing commitment to helping keep our teens safe, healthy, and substance-free.”
