Man Arrested Driving Without License: Chatham Cops

Anthony Farrugia was arrested on a traffic contempt of court warrant, Chatham Borough Police said.

CHATHAM, NJ - A random license place check led to the arrest of 32-year-old Anthony Farrugia from Bloomfield, according to the Chatham Borough Police.

On Oct. 25 Officer Agnes Cisek arrested Farrugia on an active traffic contempt of court warrant issued by the Municipality of Bloomfield Township, police said. Cisek conducted a random license plate check on the vehicle driven by Farrugia and discovered the warrant, police said. Cisek initiated a motor vehicle stop and took Farrugia into custody. Farrugia was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving without a license, police said.

Bloomfield Township Municipal Court assigned him a new court date and he was released on his own recognizance, police said.
