Mark Lois Announces Town Hall Despite Alperowitz’s 21 Debate Refusals

Q&A with Committeeman Lois on the Topic of High Density Housing Effects on Chatham Schools and Taxpayers

In my bid for re-election to Chatham Township Committee I committed to 21 separate debates ranging over 4 months from June to September. Every date was declined by my opponent, Craig Alperowitz. Craig Alperowitz refused to commit to a single one of these 21 debates, not for a single hour, not even over Zoom. Even with months and weeks of notice, my opponent refused to prioritize informing the public of his positions prior to the start of voting and would not take part in any of the 21 opportunities to debate.

Leadership is about finding solutions and not continuously presenting problems and circumstances. Despite my opponents'refusals, I am determined to adequately inform voters prior to the election of my positions. I now announce a candidate town hall focused on the most critical issue in the Chathams: High Density Housing, “PILOTS” and the Effects on Chatham Schools and
Township Taxpayers

I will answer the questions of residents on this important topic that affects every resident. I specifically want to extend and include in this invitation my opponent, who is welcome to ask questions along with all other residents.
