Milton Avenue Students Make 400 lunches for Bridges Outreach Program

As part of Cooperation month at Milton Avenue School, students and their families donated fruit and cereal bars, fruit cups, applesauce, packaged snacks, and water bottles for the Bridges Outreach Lunch Program.The Milton PTO donated pre-packaged cans of tuna salad and chicken salad, and both students and staff worked together to create more than 400 sustainable brown bag lunches.Each student decorated a brown bag and then took time during their own lunch period to pack a lunch for those in need.Through its volunteers Bridges delivers more than 65,000 brown bag meals a year to over 21,000 people in New York City, Newark and Irvington, NJ.
