More Than Sandwiches at Chatham Sandwich Shop

Along Main Street in Chatham Borough sits the unassuming , a culinary stop for many residents and employees in town.

The shop's specialty is stated right in its name, but in truth it offers a lot more than what the name alone implies. Through the Chatham Sandwich Shop's doors await a daily selection of soups, with three sizes available (small $2.95, medium $3.95, $7.95).

The moderately-priced entrees including: $7.95 for rigatoni ala vodka, tortellini alfredo or jumbo chicken quesadilla; $8.95 for grilled London broil, homemade meatloaf, chicken or eggplant parmigiana over spaghetti or chicken fingers with French fries; and $9.95 for veal parmagiana over spaghetti. All entrees come with a range of side dishes.

If hot breakfast is your preference, the sandwich shop offers a breakfast menu that could rival a diner. From coissant breakfast sandwiches to pancakes or French toast, all breakfast options are listed on the menu for under $5.

There is, however, a reason that the store is named the Chatham Sandwich Shop. The menu includes dozens of options under various categories, subdivided to an almost obsessive degree, and include Hot Italian Sandwiches, Hot Croissant Sandwiches, Hot Sandwich Specials, Submarine sandwiches, Specialty Sandwiches and Sloppy Joe Sandwiches. Nine 6 oz. burgers are also availabe, including three vegetable burgers, traditional hamburgers and cheeseburgers and the tempting pizza burger ($4.95).

The hot Italian sandwiches and sub sandwiches have options for 6 and 12 inches, depending on how hungry you are. Everything on the menu is under $13, with the 12 inch smoked turkey submarine the most expensive item on the menu at $12.25.
