Motorcycle Driver Had No License, Helmet: Chatham Borough Police
Gabriel Adenu also had an active arrest warrant, police said.
CHATHAM, NJ - A 40-year-old Newark man had no license, no helmet but he did have an active arrest warrant when he was stopped by the Chatham Borough Police on July 19, authorities said.
According to officials, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Officer Kyle Czerniak arrested Gabriel
Adenu after observing Adenu operating a motorcycle with no helmet. After initiating a stop, a check of his credentials showed that Adenu's driver’s license was expired and suspended, police said. Adenu also had an active contempt of court warrant issued by the Municipality of Newark, police said.
The check that uncovered the warrant also indicated that Adenu had no motorcycle endorsement and he was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, police said.
