Multiple Homes Burglarized Monday In Chatham: Police
Police say the homes were broken into in the afternoon.

CHATHAM, NJ — Two homes were burglarized Monday afternoon in Chatham Borough, police said.
The first home was broken into around 1:37 p.m. A Schindler Court resident reported hearing noises on the first floor of the home, but by the time police got there, the intruder had already left, police said. The resident told police she noticed a strange car nearby: a blue car with its headlights on and front door open was backed-up and parked near the woods near Willow Street and Lackawanna Court.
Shortly afterwards at 2:52 p.m. burglary was reported at Edgehill Ave. The resident told police he was out of the home between 11:30 a.m. and 2:50 p.m., and when he returned home the door from the garage inside was open.
