Navigating Hope Mobile Social Services Van Plans 14 Stops In December

Morris County’s mobile social-services-center-on-wheels, Navigating Hope, will be traveling across Morris County over the next month, making 14 visits to municipalities through Dec. 29.

The mobile program visits supermarkets, churches, soup kitchens, shopping malls, and other locations to reach county residents in need of assistance.

Stops are planned through Dec. 29 in Boonton, Butler, Chatham, Chester, Oak Ridge, Randolph, Rockaway, Mine Hill, Morristown and Mount Olive.

Navigating Hope‘s joint stops with the Morris County Sheriff’s Hope One van are listed in bold on the schedule. Hope One is a mobile recovery access vehicle that offers critical support for persons struggling with addiction, with the goals of preventing drug overdoses and deaths. Navigating Hope, financed by county tax dollars approved by the Freeholder Board, provides on-site benefits eligibility screenings and application assistance, plus links to community services. Offerings include EITC (tax credits), WIC (nutritional assistance), plus aging, domestic violence, veterans, health & wellness, legal, and mental health services. and also transportation needs.
