New Ranking Says Chatham Teachers Among Best In NJ

CHATHAM, NJ - Seven different schools in the Summit School District have are among the best according to a new ranking from Niche.com.

A ranking specialist that rates everything in education, including schools, has created a list of what it says are schools with the best teachers in New Jersey.

According to Niche.com, the rankings are based on "student and parent ratings of teachers, teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio, and the Niche Academics Grade for the school. Read more on how this ranking was calculated.

In Chatham, the rankings for this year fell as follows:

• 119. Lafayette Avenue School, Chatham
• 194. Chatham Middle School
• 198. Southern Boulevard School, Chatham

We have the top 200 schools with the best teachers in the state.
