New Sergeant On The Beat In Chatham
David Weinert takes the oath of office in Chatham Township.
CHATHAM, NJ - He was appointed on Dec. 20, took the position on Jan. 1 but on Thursday David Weinert was finally sworn in as the newest Sergeant in the Chatham Township Police Department.
Chatham Township Mayor Tayfun Selen swore in Weinert at the Chatham Township Committee meeting on Jan. 24.
According to officials, Weinert will be assigned to the Patrol Division.

The Department extended their congratulations to Weinert on its Facebook page and encouraged residents to say hello to Weinert when he is out on patrol.
