Pedestrian Hit, Critically Injured By Truck In Chatham Borough

The 63-year-old resident was hit by a pick-up truck while crossing Main Street at Railroad Plaza North, police said.

CHATHAM, NJ — A 63-year-old Chatham Borough resident was in critical condition Tuesday after being struck by a pickup while crossing a street, authorities said.

The person was crossing Main Street at Railroad Plaza North in Chatham when the crash occurred at about 7:55 p.m. on Monday, according to police.

According to police, members of the Chatham Emergency Squad provided medical assistance, and the victim was taken to Morristown Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 55-year-old Chatham resident, has not been publicly charged.
