Perfect GPA For Chatham Student Graduating College

Mark Liotta majored in biomedical engineering, and is graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Congratulations!

CHATHAM, NJ— A Chatham college student is graduating college with a perfect 4.0 GPA, one of only three students at his college to do so.

Mark Liotta is graduating from Stevens Institute of Technology this May with a degree in biomedical engineering and a perfect grade point average, making him one of three to be first in class.

Liotta is a member of the Stevens Honor Board, and of two honor societies: Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society, and Alpha Epsilon Delta, the national health pre-professional honor society. He also plays the violin in the orchestra.

While in high school, Liotta co-founded a nonprofit aimed at increasing STEM engagement in underrepresented communities, called JerseySTEM.

After graduation, he'll attend Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and plans on pursuing a career in cardiovascular surgery.
