Person Struck, Killed By NJT Train Leaving Chatham
Services was delayed for up to an hour Monday morning.

CHATHAM, NJ — A person was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train during the Monday morning commute, New Jersey Transit officials said.
The person was struck as a train left Chatham on the Morris & Essex Line before 6:50 a.m., officials said, just over the border into Summit. No other information about the person's identity was available.
Service was suspended for an hour, resuming with 60 minute delays around 7:40 a.m.

Morris & Essex Line service is suspended in both directions between Chatham and Summit due to a trespasser fatality near Chatham.
