Power Restored To Chatham Residents Following Morning Outage
There is a power outage within the area of Canterbury Road and River Road, officials said.
(UPDATE: Electrical service has been restored in the Chatham Township area Friday after more than 500 homes and businesses were without power due to a downed wire, Jersey Central Power & Light said.)
CHATHAM, NJ — A power outage has left hundreds of Chatham residents without power on Friday morning, according to the Chatham Township Police Department.
The outage is concentrated in the area of Canterbury Road and River Road, police said.

According to the Jersey Central Power & Light online outage map, there are currently between 501 and 1500 customers affected by the outages in Chatham as of 9:45 a.m.
JCPL crews are currently working to restore the area, with an official restoration time of 11:30 a.m. According to officials, the official cause of the outage has not been disclosed and is still under investigation.
