Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township to host Pride Vespers
Service to celebrate, affirm the LGBTQ+ community
Join the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township (PCCT) in kicking off Pride Monthon June 2nd at 4 p.m. for PRIDE Vespers, celebrating and affirming the LGBTQ+ community.
Vespers, an evening service in the Christian tradition, serves as a time for reflection,
gratitude, and peaceful contemplation. Through music, messages of affirmation, and a
candle lighting ceremony, we will create a space of inclusivity where members and
allies of the LGBTQ+ community can gather in love and support.
The Chancel Choir of PCCT, led by Matthew Zabiegala, our Director of Music, will
perform pieces dedicated to members of the LGBTQ+ community, including "Our Love
Can Mend a Broken World" by Tom Trenney and selections from the repertoire of Mark
A. Miller.
This service is open to the public. Donations will be accepted for EDGE New Jersey, an
an organization that serves those living with HIV, individuals at risk, and the LGBTQ+
communities.
The Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township is a vibrant, multi-generational congregation
