Robert C. Carrington Joins the Madison Area Y Board of Directors
Banking executive involved with community service

The Madison Area YMCA is pleased to announce that Robert C. Carrington has joined its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
“We are delighted to welcome Robert to the Board,” said Madison Area YMCA President & CEO Diane Mann. “We look forward to working with Robert and are confident that he will enhance the quality leadership that is characteristic of all of our Board members.”
An international banking executive, Robert was named vice president and retail district manager for Investors Bank in March 2018, coming to the Short Hills, New Jersey-based bank from the North Jersey Federal Credit Union where he served as director of retail banking. Earlier Robert served for nearly five years in Dubai as executive vice president of wealth management for Energy International-JMS. Before that assignment, Robert served as regional vice president at HSBC Private Banking and vice president at Chase Manhattan Bank, both in New York City.

Robert was attracted to Investors Bank for its values-driven leadership that focuses on cooperation, character, community and commitment. His area of responsibility includes the Madison Area YMCA service area where he is eager to strengthen Investors’ already noteworthy community involvement. He has been active for many years in community service projects and charities, and thrives on building strong management teams focusing on excellent customer service and business performance. Robert earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Lackawanna College and holds certifications in banking, corporate finance and securities law. Before joining the banking industry, Robert served for 12 years as a law enforcement officer, and earlier served five years in the US Army.
Maintaining strong professional networks, Robert is also a member of the New York City Chamber of Commerce and Columbus Avenue Historical Society. His lifelong commitment to community service is rooted in his many volunteer roles, including coaching his son’s sports teams. He is father to a young adult daughter and two sons, ages 8 and 18 months.
