Scott Waterstredt Elected to Madison Area YMCA Board of Directors

Finance executive and community leader Scott Waterstredt of Madison was elected to the Board of Directors of the Madison Area YMCA this spring. A long-time YMCA volunteer and member, Mr. Waterstredt is a Managing Director at MetLife Investment Management where he oversees alternative asset and private debt strategies. Previously he held positions at Capital One in product and corporate strategy. Earlier he served as a Captain in the US Army, including tours in both the US and Iraq, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. He earned his MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Mr. Waterstredt’s volunteer roles at the Y have included serving as co-chair of the Y’s Annual Golf Classic and participating on the Y’s Mariners Parents Organization. He is also an active member of Grace Church in Madison, where he previously served on the Investment Committee. He is married to Melissa and they are parents to Lucy, 14, and Wynn, 11.

Scott was elected to the Y Board at its March 30, 2022 meeting.
