MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — There’s no doubt about it, property taxes can be a tough pill to swallow for homeowners in Morris County. But depending on where you live in the county, the price can be extraordinarily high ... or way below the state average.

It's no secret that property taxes are one of the biggest gripes for people living in Morris County, which was one of four in New Jersey with the highest median bills in the entire nation, according to a recent study from The Tax Foundation.

According to the latest state figures, the average property tax in New Jersey was $9,284 for a home valued at $335,623 last year.
