Star-Ledger: Township Doctor Who Killed Parents Will Be Allowed to Remain Free

Kathleen Hagan was found not guilty by reason of insanity in 2000.

A township woman who was found not guilty by reason of insanity in 2002 for killing her parents as they slept will be allowed to remain free, according to a report in the Star-Ledger.

Kathleen Hagen, who was released from a state psychiatric hospital in 2008, will remain free, a judge ruled today in state Superior Court in Morristown. She will be required to meet with a social worker twice a month, instead of every week, according to the report.

The murders happened in 2000.
