State Police Do Commercial Vehicle Inspection In Chatham

Last Thursday, State Police did a random commercial vehicle inspection on North Passaic Avenue. 20 trucks were stopped; 14 were ticketed.

CHATHAM, NJ — Last Thursday, Dec. 7, New Jersey State Police conducted a random commercial vehicle inspection operation on North Passaic Avenue in Chatham Borough.

During the operation, 20 commercial vehicles were inspected. Twelve of those were issued summonses for being overweight, and two vehicles were issued summonses for mechanical violations, Chatham police said.

Those two had to be towed from the scene because they were unsafe.
