(Chatham, NJ) February 15, 2023— Teen volunteers from the Madison Chatham Coalition (MCC) Teen Task Force and law enforcement of Chatham Township participated in its first Sticker Shock campaign of the year on February 8 and 9.
For the past several years, Hickory Wine Cellar and USA Wine Traders Club in the Township participated in the campaign which aims to deter the sale of alcoholic beverages by adults to underage kids. The stores welcomed MCC Teen Task Force members and Chatham Township Police Officer Colm Dougherty to paste more than 1,000 bright “21 means 21” stickers on cases of beer and hard seltzer. The campaign also intended to remind teens to make healthy choices, free from drugs and alcohol.
“The Madison Chatham Coalition grateful for the support from these retailers. They play a crucial role in helping to keep alcohol out of the hands of minors,” said MCC Director Allison Bardon.
