(Chatham, NJ) February 8, 2024— Madison Chatham Coalition (MCC) members and police officers from Chatham Township and Chatham Borough participated in its first Sticker Shock campaign of the year on February 7.
For the seventh consecutive year, Hickory Wine Cellar and USA Wine Traders Club in the Township have invited MCC volunteers and staff into their businesses to educate adults about the consequences of providing alcohol to minors. Law enforcement helped to place several hundred bright “21 means 21” stickers on cases of beer and seltzer. The stickers were redesigned for this year, now with a Spanish translation. The ultimate goal of this campaign is to encourage adults to support teens in making healthy choices, free from drugs and alcohol.
“The work of the Madison Chatham Coalition, particularly this Sticker Shock campaign, is simply not possible without the support from so many sectors of the community, namely law enforcement and local businesses. We continue to be so grateful for this dedication to keeping teens drug and alcohol-free” said MCC Director Allison Bardon.
