Suspicious Person, Drug Arrests: Morris County Park Police

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County Park Police made multiple arrests between Oct. 16 and Oct. 31, including for drugs and warrants. Read about their activities here, as written by police:

-10/16: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers were dispatched to the Sparta Police Department on a report of an individual in their custody, Selvin E. Rodriguez, age 47, of Newton, who had a warrant for failure to appear in Dover Joint Municipal Court, stemming from charges filed by the Morris County Park Police Department. He was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Center pending a court appearance.

-10/19: ARREST FOR WARRANTS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for an equipment violation in Morristown. An investigation revealed the driver, Rudolph Pierre, age 31, of Maplewood, to have warrants for failure to appear in Newark and West Orange Municipal Courts. He was released with new court dates pending.

-10/20: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Morris Township. An investigation led to Vincent T. Loia, age 23, of Morris Plains, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released with a court date pending.

-10/21: ARRESTS FOR NARCOTICS/HINDERING APPREHENSION: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Jefferson. An investigation led to the driver, Charles A. Austin, age 23, of Irvington, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Driving While Intoxicated; and passenger, Nadir B. Jones, age 26, of Newark, to be charged with Hindering Apprehension. Mr. Austin was releases with a court date pending; Mr. Jones was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Center pending a court appearance.

-10/22: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers observed a suspicious person in Randolph. An investigation revealed John C. Milonas, age 55, of Dover, to have a warrant for failure to appear in Dover Joint Municipal Court. He was released with a new court date pending.

-10/28: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS/D.W.I.: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Jefferson. An investigation led to Alec T. Capraun, age 19, of Wharton, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Intoxicated, and several motor-vehicle violations. He was released with a court date pending.

-10/29: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Dover. An investigation led to a juvenile to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. The juvenile was released to a parent from the scene.

-10/31: ARRESTS FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for an equipment violation in Jefferson. An investigation led to Michael M. Reeves, age 25, of Mount Arlington, to be charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances (suspected Heroin and Crack-Cocaine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstruction of the Administration of Law; and Jackie L. Robinson, age 21, of Sandyston, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (suspected Heroin). Mr. Reeves was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance; Ms. Robinson was released with a court date pending.

-10/31: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS/D.W.I.: Officers executed a motor-vehicle for an equipment in Dover. An investigation led to Andre E. Burke, age 18, of Randolph, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Driving While Intoxicated. He was released with a court date pending.
