CHATHAM, NJ - The School District of the Chathams second annual TEDxYouth@Chatham event will be aired on at 7 p.m Friday, hosted by Chatham High School Teacher Christina McCabe.

This year’s virtual event themed PERSPECTIVE, featuring a mix of student and adult talks.

The students presenting their talks were selected from the Talking the Talk course at Chatham High School. They will be joined by two teachers who completed the Building Voices Practice Development course that used the TED Masterclass curriculum. This live streamed event will also feature community inspired media pieces and musical performances by CHS students.

Last year’s TEDxYouth@Chatham Power of Connection themed event was transformative reaching over 400 live audience participants with thousands of people viewing the talks online; some speakers capturing virtual audiences of over 7,000.

PERSPECTIVE promises to deliver high impact talks that once again showcase that ideas are always worth sharing, officials said. The PERSPECTIVE theme was curated from student generated ideas long before COVID-19 and pandemic were part of our daily vocabulary. Current events make this theme even more timely and relevant, officials said.
