Tri-Town Softball League Wraps Up its First Year

The Playwrights Theatre and the Joe Caruso Landscaping squads were victorious.

After a successful year working together in 2009, Madison and Chatham were excited to add Summit softball to their program this year. Players in the 7th/8th and 5th/6th grade divisions competed against teams from all three towns throughout the season in the Chatham, Madison, Summit Softball League.

In total, close to 250 people participated on 21 teams from the three communities this spring.

5/6 GRADE FINALS
In the 5/6th grade division, Madison Playwrights Theatre faced Madison Honor Tree in the final round of the division playoffs. Madison Playwrights Theatre earned the championship with a 5-4 victory in extra innings.

7/8 GRADE FINALS
In the 7/8th grade finals, Madison Joe Caruso Landscaping faced Chatham Grass Valley in the final round of the division playoffs. Caruso's Landscaping earned the championship with a 7-4 victory.
