A portion of Southern Boulevard was reopened late Thursday afternoon after a water main break closed the roadway for much of Thanksgiving. Southern Boulevard between Noe Avenue and Hickory Place was shut down after a water main broke near the Fairmount Country Club at about 7:30 a.m. Water service was restored Thursday morning and water was safe to drink, township police said in a Nixle alert. The roadway was re-opened late in the afternoon, according to an alert released at about 4:30 p.m.
