Westy Self Storage Supports the Susan G. Komen North Jersey Race for the Cure(R)

For the 8th consecutive year, Westy Self Storage in Chatham, NJ will donate storage space for race materials and supplies and the use of a Westy Truck to provide transportation of the items. The 2016 race will be held on Sunday, May 1st at the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex, West Orange.

Because 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and 10 million women around the world could die from the disease in the next 25 years, Susan G. Komen continues to fight every minute of every day. Since its founding in 1997, Komen North Jersey has invested over $16 million in local community grants that provide screening/diagnostic services, breast health/breast cancer education, treatment support, and survivorship programs for underserved women and men in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties. The North Jersey Affiliate has also directed more than $7 million to national research programs in pursuit of new breast cancer screening techniques, better and more effective treatment options, and ultimately, the causes and cures to eradicate breast cancer forever.
