Wife Suspends Morris Co. Farmer Accused Of Groping Teens: Report

RANDOLPH, NJ - Phil Green, 59, the farmer who was charged with criminally and accused of groping two teenage girls who work at Sun High Orchards has been suspended by his wife, according to a report from NJ.com.

Brenda Bostrom, his wife and owner of the pick-your-own farm, said she suspended Green after the charges were filed, the report said.

"We are taking the charges against Phil Green very seriously," she said in the report. "Phil has been suspended indefinitely from Sun High Orchards as we gather more information."

Green was charged Wednesday with two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact, and remanded to the Morris County jail where he spent the night before being released last Thursday, according to a report from The Daily Record.

According to its website, Sun High Orchards on Canfield Avenue is a pick-your-own apple orchard that sells produce, home-baked goods and apple pies and offers seasonal hayrides and pumpkin patches.

The report said Green admitted squeezing one teen's breast and rubbing her behind. He also admitted putting his hand down the other teen's shirt to touch her breasts.

Randolph Detective Lt. Chris Giuliani said that there have been no new developments in the case since last week that have not already been reported.

"As such, we will not be issuing a formal press release," Giuliani said.
